iSNet Hosted Virtual Firewall
Built on industry standard Cisco technology, the iSNet Virtual Firewall solution provides a robust platform to secure your network and information from unauthorised access, while maximizing network resiliency and maintaining business continuity. Cisco technology provides firewall services with identity-based access control, denial of service (DoS) attack protection, and much more - all built upon market proven Cisco PIX Security Appliance technology. The virtual firewall methodology enables the firewall to be partitioned into multiple standalone firewalls. Each standalone firewall acts and behaves as an independent entity with its own configuration, interfaces, security policies, routing table, and administrators.
How It Works
The iSNet Virtual Firewall functions the same as if the device was on site. Simply put, a hosted firewall solution extends the DMZ from your site “up stream” to the iSNet core where your access meets the Internet. Functionality, access, and security remain the same as if the hardware was physically on your site.
Cost of Ownership
The Virtual Firewall is provided as a managed service and as such will simply appear as a line item on your monthly invoice. This means that it becomes an operational expense rather than capital expenditure.
